I enjoyed the graphics of the trailor; you could imagine what the movie would look like if it were created during Star Wars' time. Granted Star Wars was the best that we could get back then. Anyhow, regardless to the fact that 'life' probably didn't go down that way, the action and all of the historical ingenuity of the people in the film/trailor was enough to interest most anyone. I also believe that it doesn't require a fascination with history in order to buy in to the film.
Well I wouldn't want to be the one to calm the class down after that! LOL! What middle school student doesn't love an action packed video? I believe that videos like this one could be used effectively to pique student's interest in a certain topic. In addition, since middle grade students are concrete thinkers, the use of visual aids is an excellent way to help them more completely understand new concepts.
